Positivity: a thing that I have always struggled with.
I have always been the type to question things and look at the glass as half empty. I often tell myself that there is an advantage to being a pessimist. You never really get your feelings hurt too bad, because you figured something would go wrong anyway. You don’t get let down, because you didn’t expect anything in the first place. Many times I believe that this type of thinking can save me from mistakes that are probably going to happen. Mistakes that can be avoided.
However, I have made a conscious effort to become more positive. Positivity, while there may be let downs, builds happiness, cohesion and strength. I have experienced a greater happiness and well-being in myself and the people around me by encouraging more, and complaining less. Positivity breeds positivity.
